Welcome to the Grace Mowbray Memorial Clinic web site.
The clinic was founded in October 2000 by Christiane M. Middleton.

Our NHS Provider Number is 8G744. We are also registered with a major private health care company.

As an individual member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.

Since 2000 the methodology used at this Clinic has grown tremendously, along with the needs of patients presenting. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy enables the patient to see how their responses to different situations could be changed for a more positive outcome in their lives. Hypnosis works on the unconscious mind in strengthening this behavioural change.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a very useful tool for patients to take control and regulate their own anxieties and maximise their strengths.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is the means whereby any trauma from the past, heavily affecting the present, can be processed easily and painlessly, thereby losing its power to affect and dictate the patient's present life (eg flashbacks).

Modern Hypnotherapists use Hypnosis not only for medical purposes but also as an intervention for the resolution of many problems of psychological origin.
It is often successful when other, more conventional methods of treatment have failed.
